American Idol: Auditions

Well friends, I am definately an American Idol fan. Last season I even went to some Jordin Sparks Supporters Viewing Parties. Yes. I know. I’m kind of a big dork (Jordin is awesome!) And, this year I will be discussing American Idol on Annie.in.MN.

But not just yet. I HATE the auditions.

I really love this show. But I can’t stand watching the painful audition process. There are only 4 kinds of people on the show at this point.

1. Good Singers who eventually get their ticket to Hollywood.

2. Bad Singers who just want to be on TV.

3. Bad Singers who genuinely think they can sing and are crushed when they are told bluntly (by Simon) that they suck.

4. Idiots.

I really could care less about the good singers at this point. I dont know them personally yet, and so I wont pick a favorite until later into the season. The bad singers who just want to be on tv are entertaining, but why do I care to watch you??? The bad singers who think they can sing and are crushed just make me feel bad for them because you know that they probably also fit into the last category of Idiots. And really, the Idiots just make me feel bad for America. Because look how many idiots we have here, and look at how the rest of the American population would love to watch idiots on tv. (Can you tell I generally can’t stand Reality shows? They are all full of idiots.)

But I do love the singing competition, so expect to hear about it when they get farther down the line…when they start to sing real songs and not wear Princess Leia costumes, I will be watching…
