Chuck: Guest Stars Next Season!

One of my favorite new shows is going to have quite the plethora of new faces next season…

First, Tony Hale (aka Buster Bluth) will be joining the cast as the new Assistant Manager at the BuyMore store.

Then, Nicole Richie (ugh) will be guest starring as a popular girl who used to make fun of Sarah when she was in high school.

And….my personal favorite….Ben Savage. Remember him? The cute curly haired kid from Boy Meets World will be joining Chuck as Nicole Richie’s “once a dork” husband.

What do you think of these new faces headed to hang out with our favorite superspy couple?

TV: Office Trivia Game

I am sure it has been well documented on this blog that I am a big fan of The Office. Seriously big fan. Well can you imagine my delight when I found out that there is an office TRIVIA game! Woooo!  I would love to kick my friends butts in Office trivia.

Purchase the trivia game online at NBC for $24.99. OR! For an extra 5 bucks you can get the dvd game! Ok, so maybe I kind of want the dvd game more.

Read: Dwell Magazine

My co-worker brought in a pile of new magazines for people to read yesterday. Mostly they were your average Mom magazines…Martha Stewart, Real Simple and Oprah…but there was a new one in the pile called Dwell that I hadnt read before.

I took it home with me and read it cover to cover on the bike last night at the gym. It is a great magazine for someone like me. It speaks about Architecture, Design, Home Furnishings, Modern Technology and Sustainiblity. 🙂 Some of my favorite topics…

I was very interested in an article where two New Yorkers are campaigning to develop an unused section of elevated train track on the Upper West Side. The High Line would be used as a park and environmental respite for New Yorkers and Tourists. Read more about it at

One of my favorite things I found on their website were the photo montages of the site of the High Line. Like the one below.

Listen: Ferras “Aliens & Rainbows”

Ok, iTunes has sucked me in again. I randomly bought this entire album the other day out of pure electronic music download convience. I liked their song “Hollywood’s not America” and so with the click of the mouse I decided to, why not, own the whole album.

Ever since then I have pretty much not listened to anything else! (Except Matt Wertz) I love Ferras songs “Dont Give Up on Me” “Soul Rock” and “Something about You.” The only one I could really do without is the “Dear God” song which I find annoying…but I love the rest of the album.

AND! They are coming to town! See them next Monday June 23 opening for Ryan Cabrerra at the Varsity Theater in Dinkytown.

Random: Strawberry Shortcake has a new look.

Ugh. Ever since I heard that the Sweet Valley High books were being updated for present day readers I have been worried that my childhood favorites are disappearing.

Well now I KNOW it is true. According to this article, now Strawberry Shortcake AND Care Bears are getting a makeover.

Strawberry Shortcake has a kicky new look and instead of her trademark kitty cat friend, she now has a CELL PHONE. gag.

Care Bears will be going on a crash diet and will be showing “less belly fat” and having “longer eyelashes.”

How sad. I like my Care Bears happily plump thank you.

Listen: Matt Wertz “Under the Summer Sun”

Last night I went to the Varsity Theater in Dinkytown to the Matt Wertz concert.

It was a great show. I love the chill atmosphere of the Varsity, and the music of MW just fits perfectly there. He put on a great show and was having a great time with the audience. It was a very casual and laid back show, chatting with the audience and asking for song requests. Recently he was signed with Universal Records and has a new album coming out on August 19th titled “Under the Summer Sun.” His previous indie albums are available on itunes, and you can listen to some of his songs on MySpace.
